Developing leaders through music
CCSA is a choir of young energetic team of choral singers from Makhanda, Joza Location. It was established in 2004 under the name Sakhuluntu Choral Society. It was then later renamed and registered as Classical Choral Singers and Academy (CCSA). It is a registered NPO [216-856 NPO] accordingly with South African company law. Currently with branches in Gqeberha and Qonce.

Objectives
The primary aim of this organization is to enhance choral music culture as well as the choral environment at large in Makhanda, district and beyond. Thus, the establishment of this organization will directly and indirectly contribute to the town and district growth regarding the musical sphere
To keep youth out of evil ways (drugs and alcohol)
Recognizing and advancing the academic viability and promote choral music as another artistic platform. Because most of the youth did not have a chance to study music however, they perform music
To make use of our talents
To initiate and facilitate workshops seminars and other relevant development programs such as, choir conducting pedagogy, voice technique, effective choir management strategies and efficient utilization of rehearsal time for its constituent members.
To provide accessible points of contacts and information for all members who are interested in singing choral and opera music.
Assist local high schools and youth in Makhanda and at district in functions related to choral music and other academic matters

Participation in Choral Music Competitions
CCSA has participated in different choir competitions and has lifted its hand on all of them. These include competitions such as Melting Pot EC, National Choir Festival and O.R. Tambo Festival. It has managed to record its name in all of them.

Important part of our organisation besides the music is giving and spending time with those in need. We always look to be involved and assist those who are in need. By form of donations where we can or spend time with others in need.
